Video calls on WhatsApp

Video calls on WhatsApp

You are missing the option of video calls on WhatsApp? No problem, it will be implemented and already available in the beta version.

When you tap the call icon, you now have the option of choosing between a voice call or video call. The video calling enables the users to view the video of the person which called via chat app. The option to change from front camera to rear camera is also available. User can even mute the call and will also be notified in case they have a missed call.

We are covering a lot of WhatsApp news because we like it or not, this is the most popular messaging apps and this is a big change, that will have a stable release in the coming weeks. At this moment the update is live for WhatsApp beta users.

We can notice the brand mark of Facebook all over these last changes :user tags in group chats, the ability to draw and add stickers to images a la Snapchat.

Is like giving some, and receiving some. As you know WhatsApp is owned by Facebook and the company recently made a change in its privacy policy.  The company announced that it will share some of the user data with its parent company Facebook so that it can show relevant ads to people.

The most important resource became the information about you and me. Daily, your private or public information is desired, needed and wanted 🙂 Don’t you feel important?

To conclude, WhatsApp might have video calls soon, but many rivals always do, just check out the competition, Viber. It is true that in case of Viber, making a video call means making a voice call first, so kudos to WhatsApp that is giving you the option from the start.
